We have been on Sylt for 3 years in a row and always like to come to the compass for happy hour. Thanks to the menu, the cocktails are good, tasty and there is alcohol in them - that's not always the case during happy hour. The staff is always friendly. What doesn't work at all this year is the hygiene concept .... Oh, that doesn't seem to exist either. Tables that are designed for 4 people are occupied by 8 people, so that we had the guests almost on our lap as the next table ... A polite question from the staff should have been at least whether we object or whether we are want to implement. But Corona does not seem to have arrived in some local restaurants on Sylt. Unfortunately, with this high number of customers, the toilets are currently not clean either.

Great selection, both drinks and food. Everything tasted very good, we had pizza, pasta and two fish dishes. The attentive and friendly staff should also be highlighted.

The restaurant is located directly in the main pedestrian zone (Friedrichstrasse), is chilled out and invites you to linger, chat and watch. Yesterday alone, during my visit, three passers-by had their delicacies stolen from a seagull 🙈 (sad, but also amusing! Real Syltians actually know that 🤭) Apart from that, you can consume many different drinks and foods here. The prices are adequate. The daily Cocktail Happy Hour offers all cocktails for 6.90 every day from 4 p.m. My pickled meat was okay. There was a bit of lettuce with it, but you had to order tartar sauce at a price of 2 euros 🤨. The fried potatoes were soggy, of taste and consistency! However, fried potatoes generally seem to be one of the supreme discipline among chefs 💁‍♀️ But this year's young team is lively and attentive, happy and funny-friendly and my favorite waiter, a young man who has serving and serving in his blood and seems to fill it, is still there - keep it up! 😃

The Kompass Restaurant, also with outside seating, is worth a visit. Service is friendly. Eat good. Recommendable.

WoW ... what a warm welcome ... very polite and courteous waiter, ... highly motivated and extremely empathetic, ... PERFECT as you would expect in the hospitality industry! ... highly recommended. The three of us were there for breakfast, and they were just opening the cafe, ... no stress, no hassle ... we were given a very nice table and sat on comfortable chairs covered with lambskin .... ordered breakfast and WoW how big portions and how delicious !!! Thanks to the very friendly and competent team, especially the personable waiter, who is also well styled! Highly recommended ... great location, close to the beach right in the shopping area ... Thank you, keep it up and we'll be back ...

1st visit: Friendly service, price-performance ratio was good for the cocktails, and the quality was also good. 2. Visit to eat: Inside you sit a bit dark and not with the typical flair. The staff was very friendly again. The food came quickly (schnitzel, steak, noodles, turkey steak). The portions were big and the taste was really good. We will come back.

Nice place to sit and watch the world go by. The service is typical for Sylt - friendly and quick. The prices are in order for the location. If your a sports fan, the are often live events shown on TV. The food is not bad but nothing special. All in all, a decent place.
